CHOKLADBOLLAR
Chocolate balls

The treat every Swedish kid knows how to make.
It’s simple, involves no baking and is delicious.

Difficulty level: Easy-peasy

Makes: Up to you

1 ½ cups quick cooking oatmeal

¼ cup sugar

6 tbsp. butter

2 tbsp. cocoa powder

½ tbsp. vanilla extract

1 tbsp. brewed coffee

Coconut flakes or pearl sugar*
(for rolling in)

  1. Combine butter, sugar, oats (don't use the instant packets), cocoa powder, vanilla, and coffee.

  2. Roll into 1" diameter balls about the size of a meatball.

  3. Roll balls in coconut or, if you have a serious sweet tooth, pearl sugar to decorate.

  4. Eat right away, or refrigerate, or freeze if you prefer a harder consistency.

*This kind of sugar is hard to find in the U.S. but we'll be happy to help you find some if you email parlsocker@skona.com
